  1. Team Registration:
  a. Teams need to register via the CVA Majesti website only.
  b. $60 team nomination deposit is required to be paid when registering your team via the CVA Majesti website. If a refund is requested, it will only be refunded to the captain's/manager's Majesti account at the end of the season at the sole discretion of the CVA committee. $60 deposit is kept until the final week unless teams have outstanding fees from a prior week.
  c. All players need current CVA ($20) and VQ (Recreational $33) memberships (exp 31/3/25).
  
  2. Eligibility of Players and Team:
  a. $60 game fee prior to playing needs to be paid. This is paid in person at the hall kiosk electronically on the night.
  b. Every player must sign themselves in on the team list sheet at the kiosk prior to each game. Team list sign in sheets are kept at the kiosk. Penalties will apply for teams failing to do this.
  c. For a player to be eligible for any finals, team players must have played in at least three regular round matches that season.
  d. Minimum 5 players on the court from the team list, with a maximum of 10 players. If teams do not have 5 signed in players from their team list, they will forfeit.
  e. Minimum 5 team list players are required to be signed in and on court by the first serve at H:20pm.
  f. Team non-payment/attendance will result in no score being accounted for the match, deposit lost and possible removal from the competition unless reasonable notice has been provided to CVA prior to no-show. This can be provided via email at play@cairnsvolleyball.com.au or in person with reasonable notice.
  g. All teams that forfeit will still pay match fees. Any outstanding fees must be paid in full before the team will be permitted to play any further matches in subsequent weeks.
  
  3. Game Play:
  a. 1 hour game slot.
  b. The season will consist of round matches, preliminary finals and grand finals.
  c. Social season grand final first, second and third placings will be provided with a ribbon.
  d. Games will be run as follows: 5 minute warm up, 12 minute play + 1 minute time out +12 minute play, followed by a 5 minute drink break, then repeat. Continuous point scoring for the whole game. Team scores do not 'reset'. Change sides after the half time 5 minute drink break. See notes below for detailed game timing.
  
  4. Duty:
  a. Teams are required to do duty as per the draw (First and Second referees at a minimum)
  b. If a playing team is late it will result in a 2 point penalty each minute for their team until they have 5 signed in players on the court from their team list.
  c. If a duty team is late it will result in a -5 point penalty on the first occurrence, -10 point penalty on the second occurrence and -20 point penalty from there on.
  d. Duty teams not enforcing the playing team late start penalty will result in theirs being penalised.
  
  5. Other:
  a. Competition Co-ordinator decisions are final.
  b. Late season team entries will be accepted at the sole discretion of the CVA committee.
  c. Social season competition is designed to bring players together in a fun inclusive way. Please be respectful and supportive of this.
